A bit about me…
Hej! My name is Helen Ström, and I am a senior at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. I grew up in Minneapolis, and while my college is only 40 minutes from my childhood home, I have always loved to travel.
At St. Olaf, I study English, Education, Management, and Race and Ethnic Studies. Basically, I am interested in many things and I couldn’t commit to just one area of focus. When I was deciding on a college one of the biggest factors in choosing St. Olaf was the study abroad programs they offered.
Now, I find myself in Stockholm, Sweden and I could not be happier! I am so excited for the next several months and can’t wait to experience all that will come.

A bit about me in Sweden…
While I am in Sweden, I will be living in Stockholm in a living and learning community focussed on the outdoors.
My core course over these next few months will be Positive Psychology. The other classes I will be taking are: Swedish Language, History of Sweden in Sweden and the World, Scandinavian Crime Fiction, and Storytelling: How Narrative Works.
As I’m sure you can tell, I am very excited to learn more about life in Sweden, the people, their history and anything else that comes my way!
